One Truth or Many Truths?

Member There are only two absolute truths in my mind.
1. Every human being that exist must have been born.
2. Every human being will die some day.

Every thing else is a matter of informational input and influences by those that pass thru our lives and governmental interferance.

One religion will never happen. Everyone would have to agree it is the only religion to live by. While all might say it is publically, some will do different behind closed doors.

No one, in truth, knows what happen to the dinosaurs.
Humans were not there to write down exactly what happen.

No one,in absolute truth, knows exactly what should have been written in the Bible or what the words exactly meant. In all honesty I believe most believe what the person behind the pulpit tells them the bible means instead of exactly what the words of the Bible truly meant, if we could find some one that was there and took down the exact word's of Christ and how He defined them.

If we all followed the teaching of Christ would we all not be Jewish? I mean Christ was a Jew right? Then again we would have to find the right person that was there to get the exact words and meaning to know we what we are suppose to believe.

As far as evolution goes, who was there to see it happen?

Human are mamals right? So does that not make us cousins of the whale, horse, dog, cat, gopher and every other mammal?

We are primates as well right? So what if the primate evolved from the sloth? Can you prove it did not, without a doubt? It would explain lazy, slow moving people right?

If humans evolved from the sea, than maybe the fact that humans can hold their breath longer under water these days means we are headed back to the sea and developing the skills to survive there once more.

It there any thing that is hard core fact about the past?

Some folks look good with more than one face, it hides their true deformity.

Member Existence is an absolute truth? That's not true, because you can only argue a posteriori for ones existence, as such all the arguments you can make of your own existence are jaded by your experience and your perception. No one can objectively prove their own existence to anyone else.

If we could, schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders would be easier to treat.

Member Mr. Mordun, you can only provide a posteriori evidence for your existence, meaning your evidence is dependent upon assumptions that may not be true. It is equally as likely that you are a computer simulation as it is that you exist, because the underlying assumptions on the existence of the universe cannot be proven. Descartes acknowledged that but took the cowards way out of the problem, by saying that since God is benevolent, he doesn't exist as a brain-in-a-jar tormented by demons, but that's just a statement of faith, not a statement of fact or proof.

So, logically, you cannot prove your existence outside of your experience. You cannot even prove that the experience you have actually happened, you only assume it does.
